Broad support for Thackson's Well Wind Farm proposal

Approximately 500 local residents attended last week's public exhibitions, hosted by Infinergy to provide information about a potential wind farm at Thackson's Well Farm, Long Bennington. About half of the visitors voiced their opinion about the proposal by filling in a questionnaire. The responses to the questionnaires show overall support: 64% of the respondents who made up their mind are in favour, whereas 36% are against. A number of people remained undecided and choose to await more information, which will be available in an Environmental Statement, a report with the results of various surveys undertaken which will be submitted along with the planning application this November.
